YouTube said on Aug. 27 that Amazon is now part of its Shopping Affiliate Program. Eligible U.S. creators can tag Amazon products in Shorts, long-form videos, and livestreams, according to YouTube's own blog, written by Travis Katz, vice president for Shopping.

Viewers can buy without leaving the video. Creators get a cut of those sales, YouTube said. The company pointed readers to its eligibility rules rather than listing them in the post. Other outlets published conflicting subscriber thresholds and international-commission details. Those lists are not confirmed here. YouTube's blog says only "eligible U.S. creators."

A March 25 YouTube blog post had already widened Shopping access to Partner Program creators with at least 500 subscribers who meet eligibility guidelines. That post is separate from the Amazon announcement.

YouTube did not say on its blog that CEO Neal Mohan announced the Amazon deal. That claim appeared in Android Authority and is not used here.

YouTube's own post does not give commission rates, a full eligibility checklist, or how international purchases route.
