Sayer is a digital news publication covering artificial intelligence, technology, business, financial markets, consumer news, and the creator economy. It publishes original reports on this site after they have been prepared, checked, and released through Sayer’s editorial process.

Sayer is a new publication. The aim is straightforward: put sourced, attributable reporting in front of readers, and be clear when a story is still developing.

What Sayer covers

The desk follows six beats: artificial intelligence, technology, business, markets, consumer news, and the creator economy. Celebrity coverage belongs here only when it is a business story — brand deals, companies, products, money, or other commercial activity. Sayer is not a gossip site.

Stories that do not fit those beats are generally outside the publication’s scope, even when they are widely circulated elsewhere.

Evidence first

Sayer treats available evidence as the basis for publication, not the existence of another news article. Reports should rest on named sources, documents, official statements, and other material that readers can evaluate. Where a claim cannot be confirmed, the copy should say so rather than presenting it as settled fact.

Sourcing and verification are part of how a story is prepared. Significant claims are compared against additional independent information when that is practical. Attribution stays with the source: an allegation, estimate, or official statement should not be rewritten as an established event unless the underlying record supports that wording.

Developing stories

Some stories are incomplete when they are first published. Confirmed information, reported information, allegations, estimates, and unknown points should remain distinguishable in the copy. A report may be updated when additional credible information becomes available. When a published story changes in a meaningful way, the article page shows an updated date.

How stories are prepared

Sayer uses automated systems and artificial intelligence as tools inside its newsroom workflow. Those tools may help identify relevant information, gather and compare sources, organize research, draft copy, run editorial checks, and prepare related materials such as social-media versions.

They do not publish. Publication is a separate step in Sayer’s editorial process, and a person on the desk controls the final decision to put a story on this site. AI output is not itself evidence; the underlying sources are.

Published stories appear under Sayer Staff. That byline identifies the publication, not an individual reporter.

The public archive

The live archive is the published record on this site. Drafts, research notes, internal scores, and unpublished revisions are not public. A weekly email, Sayer Weekly, is an editor-chosen digest of published stories — not an automated dump of the archive.
